To summarize, there are five steps in preparing literature research.
| 1 | Think of a topic | Consult journals, textbooks and so on |
| 2 | Formulate a search query | Try to make the search query as specific as possible by asking yourself questions like who, what, where, when, how and why. |
| 3 | Select your keywords | Choose the key concepts from your research question |
| 4 | Find synonyms and related terms | In dictionaries, encyclopaedias, textbooks and so on. Ask your teacher. |
| 5 | Look for suitable sources of information | What sources of information are relevant to your search query? |
