Adding patents

Your patents can be of interest to others, which in turn can lead to new collaboration opportunities. Patents recorded in Pure also appear in reports that are used for research evaluations. It is a record of the work that you have caried out.

Only published patents should be recorded in Pure and only one per patent family: the first patent publication.

The patent can be registered in Pure as soon as it is published in Espacenet. Patent applications are generally published 18 months after the earliest priority date of the application. Prior to that publication the application is confidential to the patent office.
